When I first contacted Laura, my story was in screenplay format, and I was looking at writing a series of books based around it.  I searched and searched until I found Laura’s Web site, and saw her art.  It was exactly what I needed for the books, and she was exactly the type of independent artist who would fit my budget.

But could she do it?  Could she paint what I wrote?  Could she truly show readers my characters, the way I wrote them?  My answer:  Yes!

I couldn't have imagined how overwhelmingly beautiful the paintings of my characters would turn out when I began working with Laura.  Throughout each developmental stage, until I was completely satisfied, Laura worked with me to bring my angels to life through her art.  She seamlessly brought them into the world with her natural talent, and in a way, is their mother.  What I could only do in words with narrative imagery, Laura brought to life with her exclusively radiant art.  What a Godsend.

I have been writing for 10 years and in that time I have searched for artists to create covers for my work.  The only artist's work that caught my eye was Laura's beautiful digital paintings.  Laura did a fantastic job on the Time Warriors 4 cover, and the book itself wasn't even finished when she worked on the cover.  Without reading the first three books in the series, and without the completed fourth book, Laura was able to capture the essence of the characters and scenes exactly as I pictured them.  She is amazing!  As for the business aspect, she is fast and reliable.  She kept in contact with me through the entire process, asking for my opinion and incorporating my ideas.  She is professional and will tell you when she is not the right person for the project.  I approached her about a thriller/mystery project and she told me that she does not have enough background in that genre to do the project justice.  That's professionalism at it's best.  I wish she could handle all of my projects, but I understand why she can't, and I will surely use her for all of my science-fiction/fantasy books in the future.  I highly recommend Laura Diehl to everyone looking for a cover artist for their science-fiction/fantasy book.
